Cost of Living in Australia
The Australian Government specifies AU $ 20,290 ad the minimum amount required to cover living costs for a 12 month period. This figure excludes tuition fees or the cost of travel to and from Australia. It is the minimum required to pay accommodation, commute to school or University buy food, have fun, and pay for all the little extras that the student need.

Work while study
Student visa granted after 26 April 2008 are subject to condition 8104 or 8105 that allows limited work in Australia. You and your dependents (if any) can only work after you have commenced your course and mus adhere to the work hour restrictions. HOW MANY HOURS A WEEK CAN I WORK?
Holder of a student visa can work up to 40 hours per fortnight while their Institutions program is in session, and full-time during Institution vacations, in general students should not expect to cover tuition fees or living expenses from casual work.
